Traps alone don't work if the entry points stay open — our Keene, TX crew seals the building envelope while removing what's already inside. Rodents also gnaw on electrical wiring, which turns a nuisance problem into a genuine fire-safety concern if it goes unaddressed.
Rodent control here means construction-grade exclusion: hardware cloth, sealant, and door sweeps, applied by trained techs.
Rodent calls in Keene, TX get same-day or next-day dispatch, especially where droppings or gnaw marks suggest an active population.
The inspection determines a fixed price for trapping and exclusion work before anything is installed.
We carry snap traps, one-way exclusion doors, thermal cameras for locating nest zones, and sanitation supplies for post-removal cleanup. Each exclusion job comes with before-and-after documentation of the sealed gaps, so you know exactly what was done and where.
Norway rats burrow at grade, so we focus on foundation perimeters, deck footings, and crawl space vents.
We trace roof rat entry to soffit vents and roofline gaps, sealing those before setting attic traps.
Mice need only a quarter-inch opening — we inspect utility penetrations, door sweeps, and foundation cracks for entry points.
After removal, we clean contaminated insulation and sanitize affected areas per industry biohazard handling standards.
We install hardware cloth, door sweeps, and vent screens to physically block re-entry after the population is cleared.
Scheduled monitoring and bait station servicing for property managers needing ongoing compliance documentation.
Tell dispatch where you're hearing activity — attic, walls, or kitchen — and whether you've seen droppings or gnaw marks.
We show up prepared to both trap and seal, so there's no separate follow-up trip just to bring supplies.
We trace droppings, gnaw marks, and grease trails back to the entry point, then map every gap needing exclusion work.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented follow-up — not just traps left behind with no return visit.

Coverage across Keene and the surrounding Keene, TX area includes priority routing for properties bordering fields, woodlots, or older housing stock. Properties in Keene near open fields or construction sites tend to see rodent pressure spike seasonally, so we plan technician routes with that pattern in mind.
Rat droppings are roughly the size of a grain of rice or larger; mouse droppings are smaller and more pointed. Noise timing and gnaw-mark size also differ.
Trapping handles what's inside now; sealing is what keeps new rodents from replacing them.
Dry sweeping droppings can release airborne particles; it's safer to let the crew handle cleanup with the right protective equipment.
A typical job is a single day of work plus a short follow-up window to verify the population is gone.
Snap traps and sealing come first; bait stations are reserved for specific situations like commercial perimeter control.
Accessible food sources, standing water, cluttered storage, and unsealed foundation gaps are the most common draws. We often recommend homeowners do a seasonal walk-around of the foundation, since new gaps can open up after freeze-thaw cycles.
A technician who traps and seals in one visit beats a cycle of traps that never quite finish the job.
